Federal shield law talks

Shield laws are laws, which vary somewhat by state, that protect journalists from having to reveal confidential sources in a court of law. The idea is that if a source’s identity can be protected, people will not be so afraid to be whistle-blowers about injustice and unsafe practices in government and the workplace.
